Bistro Vendome: A taste of France in Park Hill, Co!
For anyone who is new to my blog, there are a few things that one should know. One, bread, wine, and cheese from France are amazing! Two, in Philadelphia, Parc, owned under the Stephan Starr brand was a go-to spot for me for over 12 years. And three, Bistro Vendome is one of my new favorite restaurants outside of France!
During the first couple of days after our four-day trek from Philadelphia to Lone Tree, we went ahead and had a delicious dinner at Bistro Vendome. The staff is amazing, and considering that this was a first visit to the Park Hill area, absolutely loved the ambience, attention to detail, and quality of the food and drinks that we indulged in. Our dinner was overall delicious, light, and we’d be hard pressed to order anything else! We started with beautiful escargot, plenty of bread on hand to sop up the amazing sauce, along with a classic, and well prepared beef tartare.
Entrees were light, but very well done! I had the cavatelli au persil, or parsley cavatelli with morel mushroom, Toulouse sausage, sugar snap peas, and the lightest lemon-thyme ricotta of my life! A dish that balanced the richness of the sausage, earthiness of morel mushrooms, snap of sugar snap peas, perfectly cooked pasta, and acidity of the lemon-thyme ricotta. Eric ordered probably the best prepared pan seared trout, paired with grilled asparagus, Bayonne ham vinaigrette, crispy shallot, dill, and perfectly cured egg yolk. Equally delicious and very light.
Cocktails were amazing and we enjoyed our two respective glasses with each of our courses! I highly recommend visiting the Park Hill neighborhood, and giving Bistro Vendome a try! Happy hour is every single day, 4-6 pm, weekend brunch is Saturday & Sunday, 10am-2pm, and reservations are highly recommended! Cheers, and stay tuned for more blog posts on here!
