Cranelli’s: Inventive Lunch in Lone Tree!

Several weeks ago, the both of us were feeling peckish, didn’t have a lot of groceries at home, and I thought it prudent to revisit this local neighborhood spot, Cranelli’s Italian Restaurant! Lasinda, along with her amazing staff make every experience special, and finding this local gem is something I’m eternally grateful for because they are creative, inventive, friendly, and make you feel like you’re a part of the family, not just a customer.

Now we’ve had many meals at Cranelli’s, but they have generally been dinner or happy hour. Haven’t done brunch yet, but we will soon. Lunch on this particular occasion was fantastic! Perfect amount of spice, portioning of our main course, and as always, a great time! We started with an appetizer, Italian poppers, roasted poblano peppers with a four-cheese and sausage medley, encrusted with in-house made breadcrumbs. Perfect level of spice, heat from the poblanos, and ooey-gooey cheesiness! We probably could have eaten a dozen of them and been happy.

Main courses were equally delicious. Eric ordered the sausage sandwich, bread made fresh daily, grilled sausage, grilled peppers, caramelized onions, mozzarella, and served with a side of marinara sauce. I got what was arguably the best version of an Italian hoagie done the way I’ve always imagined: The Salami Sandwich! Salami, sweet ham, caramelized onions, roasted red peppers, tomatoes, spinach, mozzarella, balsamic glaze & spicy aioli, and served with an extra side of spicy aioli! Well worth the weight gain I had the next day, and so craveable that I finished the whole plate!

I highly, highly recommend stopping by for lunch, dinner, happy hour, or just to relax! Cheers, and run, don’t walk to Cranelli’s Italian Restaurant in Lone Tree, Colorado!
