Blanchard Family Wines: A vino tasting!
As many of you are aware, we enjoy a variety of wines. From light to full-bodied, Italian, French, Spanish, and so many others. Any opportunity to try something new is exciting to the utmost degree. Blanchard Family Wines is in a fantastic little shop smack dab in the middle of Dairy Block, in downtown Denver. James & Shanna Blanchard are an adorable couple who has done very well for themselves. They feature a robust listing of wines that they’ve collaborated on, or featured wines from many partners. Blanchard Family Wines is fantastic for someone learning, or just to relax with.
For our respective tastings, we each picked four different varietals, and after tasting the samples, settled on our favorite glass to close out our tab. In no particular order we settled on tasting samples of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Viognier, Gewurztraminer, Blake Street Blend, Leon Millot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec. All fantastic, so the decision was very difficult for us on what full glass we’d indulge in. In the end, I went with the Chardonnay, and Eric had the Malbec.
If you haven’t stopped by Blanchard Family Wines at either location in Denver or Golden, run, don’t walk to their spots! Staff is equally nice, charcuterie board is well-stocked, and we’ll definitely be signing up for the wine club membership! Cheers, and see you all soon for maybe a blind wine tasting soon.
